There is a common agreement among researchers about the involvement of multiple senses while taste is being perceived. Also, for restaurants, pubs and similar places there is growing awareness of the significance of the quality of the soundscape and its influence on taste. The objective of this project - presented at the CMMR 2013, The 10th International Symposium on Computer Music Multidisciplinary Research: Sound, Music and Motion - is to study the perceptual interaction of taste and audition in the context of the primal activity of feeding. For this, we intend to improve ambient auditory stimulation in behavioural tests based on tasting experiences, and to use state-of-the-art techniques in psychoacoustics.
